On December 20th, 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Fort Dauphin between Rio Tinto QMM, the Anosy Region and the Integrated Growth Poles Project (IGP). The common global objective of the parties is to contribute to the Anosy’s socioeconomic development for a sustainable improvement of the population’s living conditions, in particular for the most vulnerable groups. The programmes to be implemented within the framework of this agreement will be based on the Anosy Regional Development Outline.
